Whitsunday Voices values it's ongoing association with CQ University and supports its commitment to Mackay and educating its youth. CQ University will host a Slam Poetry Workshop as part of the 2019 Festival where many of Mackay's Grade 10 to 12 students can learn how to develop and perform a slam poetry compilation from award winning slam poet, Emilie Zoe Baker.
