Chris Collin is an award winning Author, Poet, Story Teller and highly entertaining Performer. Chris sees his role as
bringing 'fun and funkiness' to the world through his books and performing arts, whilst encouraging readers of all ages to read for the joy of reading!
With the help of 'Funky Chicken', Chris’ interactive presentations are designed to promote a love of reading with young readers through humour, fun and
engagement; catering for all levels from Kindy all the way through to grade 6. His energetic and entertaining sessions are sure to have the students
on the edge of their seats!

Talks: Creating your own story with fun and funkiness! – This interactive talk incorporates music, dance, movement, and puppetry to deliver
a fun and highly engaging performance to students whilst also educating them on the creative process behind a picture book, the relationship between
the illustrator and the narrative and how to get the rhythm in the rhyme! Grades P-4
Brain Strain Creative Rhyme Workshop: Students will create their own story outline with a setting, character and
random object which will then be turned into a rhyming story. This workshop gives students an understanding of Chris’s rhyming style with an emphasis
on the importance of rhythm and meter and making the story bounce! Grades 5-8
