Thursday 13 July and Friday 14 July, 9.30am – 2.30pm at Whitsunday Anglican School, North Mackay.

Two days of student sessions, jam-packed with book talks, workshops, performances and more!  Don't miss this year's stellar line up of first-class authors, illustrators, poets and performers from around Australia.  All sessions are open to the public.

Short Story Competition

 

Students from Years 3 to 12 are invited to submit entries for the 2017 Whitsunday Voices Youth Literature Festival Short Story Competition. Students are free to respond to a theme or topic of their choice and there is no limit to the number of entries allowed by each student. Thanks to our sponsor, Friends of Mackay Libraries, for their very generous cash prizes and assistance. The categories of the Competition and the respective word requirements are outlined below:
