Dr Charlie Thomson is an educator, writer and hip-hop artist who has spent more than 20 years inspiring young people through creativity and storytelling. A founding member of The Winnie Coopers, he brings education and music together through innovative programs such as The Shakespeare Sessions. Charlie has presented at major literature festivals and international conferences, including the World Shakespeare Congress and New York University’s Hip-Hop Education Centre. His award-winning storybook In the Deep End encourages young readers to overcome fear and draw on their own experiences.
In his engaging secondary school sessions, Charlie explores storytelling, language and rhythm, showing how music and literature connect in powerful ways.
