Curious Creatures & Hidden Worlds
Sami Bayly is an internationally award-winning author and illustrator who reveals the beauty in the bizarre. She creates breathtakingly detailed watercolours of flora and fauna, especially from the creatures most people avoid looking at twice. From ugly animals to parasites and poo, Sami uncovers the hidden wonders of the natural world with curiosity and courage.
In her lively sessions, she shares her journey into scientific illustration, from a childhood filled with animals, including an escaping cassowary, to securing a book deal thanks to a humble bin chicken and reveals the behind-the-scenes secrets of writing, illustrating and publishing books.
