Shane McCarthy is a freelance writer who’s worked with comic-book heavyweights like DC Comics and Marvel. He made history as the first Australian to write Batman for Detective Comics since the character’s creation in 1939. Shane’s credits also include Star Wars, Deadpool Team Up and Transformers. During this time, somehow he also built a 20 year international career as a dancer and choreographer.
In his action packed session, Shane takes students on his journey from country kid to comic-book creator, sharing insider secrets of the industry and proving that big creative careers can start anywhere.
