Real World Fantasy with a Twist
Terry Whidborne began his creative journey as an Art Director in advertising before turning his focus to books, film and animation. Now an author-illustrator, Terry creates richly detailed worlds where reality blends with fantasy and whimsy. He has illustrated popular series including Word Hunters, O-OH! and Jackie French’s Animal Rescue and is the creator of the cult-favourite Faeries of Tasmania.
Terry shares his creative journey and proves that anyone can draw. Students can expect practical tips and a glimpse into how imagination becomes art on the page. Learn about the clever world of tiny books and print in his workshop and the fascinating artistic process for his work shown in the QLD Art Gallery’s exhibition of The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
