Dear Teachers, Librarians and Budding Writers,

Whitsunday Voices invites students to submit entries into our annual Short Story Competition, providing a platform for imagination, expression and literacy for our entrants of the Mackay region and surrounds. Entry is free and there are fantastic prizes to be won thanks to our generous sponsors THIESS.

Entry Guidelines

Submissions can only be accepted online - ENTRY FORM & GUIDELINES.

Entries must adhere to the guidelines listed on the ENTRY FORM.

Entries are judged by a panel comprising of Mackay representatives from the Australian Literacy Educators Association (ALEA).

FILE NAMING: For judging purposes, you must ensure the anonymity of your story and file.  You should save your story file as the story title ONLY (no student names), i.e., "THE BIG RED DOOR”.
